Cost of Surgery
In Government hospitals where doctor’s fee and hospitalisation is free, the cost of surgery is towards imported plastic disposable items that are used in the operation. This may be anywhere between 30,000 rupees to 45,000 rupees. When prosthetic valve is used an additional 35,000 to 45,000 rupees may have to be incurred because of the cost of the valve. In private hospital additional costs are due to hospitals charges and the surgeon’s fee.
With the approval of Chief CTC, it has been decided to revise the package rates of the various cardiac surgeries as follows. The revised rates will come into the force w.e.f 1.2.2004
